ISBE Demo Day: the Community of Madrid's blockchain use cases
Overview
What can you build with blockchain to solve real problems? In this MERGE Madrid session, eight companies pitch the first use cases developed on the ISBE network, within a Community of Madrid grant (Redtec program and Next Generation EU funds): Acuro, Digital Animal, Smart de Gris, Chain de Blog, Bit2Me, I Community, Wavest and Token City.
What you'll learn
- Frictionless wallet: Acuro and its decentralized wallet for non-experts
- Connected livestock: Digital Animal and cattle traceability
- Verifiable credentials: Smart de Gris for universities (EUDI Wallet)
- Blockchain integration: Chain de Blog's M3S and I Community's digital product passport
- Tokenized markets: Bit2Me STX and Token City (bonds and a tokenized exchange)
- Legal evidence: Wavest and its Litrace solution with evidential value
Session summary
Acuro — a wallet for everyone: it presents NBC Talk Pay, a decentralized wallet used with email and PIN (no seed phrases), with on-ramp, exchange and payments, designed for non-crypto users.
Digital Animal — livestock: a system to locate and monitor free-range cattle, with sensors, AI and blockchain for “farm-to-table” traceability (with customer and country figures cited in the talk).
Smart de Gris — education: University Smart Portfolio issues verifiable academic credentials aligned with the EUDI Wallet, to combat degree fraud and add value for students.
Chain de Blog and I Community — infrastructure: M3S standardizes blockchain integration (wallet, smart contracts, cross-chain) for web2 companies; I Community presents the digital product passport required by EU traceability rules.
Bit2Me and Token City — capital markets: Bit2Me STX, a tokenized stock exchange under the DLT pilot regime (with a first tokenized bond in the CNMV sandbox), and Token City, with tokenized bond issuance and transaction reporting; both aim to cut costs and intermediaries with atomic settlement (T+0).
Wavest — legal evidence: Litrace generates digital evidence with evidential value for complex corporate processes (compliance, M&A, workforce restructuring), certifying documents on blockchain.
